Testimonials for Ash House Day Nursery

  • Hollie enjoys going to nursery. She loves the staff and gets upset at the weekend because she won't see them that day. Hollie has to say goodbye to the other two rooms every night which to me says she is very happy and confident with the nursery and staff. To me the staff are an extension of home and I trust each one of them with Hollie. I didn't hesitate on going back to Ash House when I had Hollie. It has a good feel about it and I still feel that same feeling 12 years later.

  • Thank you just doesn't seem enough to say for all the exceptional care Noah (and mum!) have received whilst at Ash House Nursery. Each and every one of you has had such a positive impact on his development and has helped shape him into the amazing little boy he is today. All have been without doubt friendly, caring, loving, and professional and are very special people. As a first time mother, working full time, it was important for me to find a nursery that would care about my little boy as much as his father and I do. Returning to work was very daunting but the staff at Ash House Nursery were amazing, ensuring that I was as happy and comfortable as my little boy was. I love the way the staff interact with the children and I know that they really care about my little boy. They treat each child as an individual and adapt accordingly to their personalities. I am delighted that my little boy is a part of Ash House Nursery and is being cared for by friendly, lovely people.

  • My son Oliver started at Ash House Nursery in January 2014 at 9 months old. He settled into nursery very quickly which I believe was because he felt safe and comfortable. It's hard leaving your child daily to go to work. The staff at Ash House Nursery made me feel very assured and it quickly made me feel at ease. It's lovely picking Oliver up and hearing all about his day and what he has done, learnt and achieved. Ash House is a fantastic Nursery with very friendly staff who are very attentive to yours and your child's needs.

  • Lawrence joined Ash House Nursery when he was four months old and he has never looked back. Over the course of several months he has developed significantly though the well-established ethos and environment alongside the caring guidance of his key worker and fellow staff. From the rotated menu of the fresh food served daily, the various and dynamic opportunities available, to the encapsulating smile on my sons face when I drop him off in the morning. I know we've chosen an excellent nursery to send our child to.

  • Our family have been going to Ash House Nursery for nearly 10 years now, as have our three daughters. During our time there we found the nursery to be at an exceptionally high standard, all the staff members are very warm and welcoming, but most importantly our children have loved going and often do not want to leave! Ash House Nursery has become a home away from home, and when we drop them off we know that they are happy, safe and in excellent hand. We would not hesitate to recommend Ash House Nursery and often have.

  • We now have 2 children being looked after by Ash House Nursery. Initially, the nursery was recommended to us by a friend and a work colleague. We have not been disappointed with our choice. The staff are great. They are friendly, approachable and most importantly incredibly caring. It is very obvious they love working with children. Both of our children thoroughly enjoy their time at Ash House Nursery. The range of activities is fabulous and we love the fact all the meals are home made on site (and that food allergies are accommodated for). Ash House is a great nursery and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

  • Based on Joe's development and happiness, I can only praise the nursery nurses who have, from day one been his buddies, carers and role models. We are very grateful for all their dedication and support for both us as parents and Joe as an individual. The Ash House Nursery nurses are top class!

  • In my role as Teacher of the Deaf within Hearing Support Team in Wirral, it has been a great pleasure to work with this setting. For over three years staffs have supported several deaf children, with very different needs, despite having deafness in common. The 'can do' attitude of staff has resulted in these deaf children developing effective communication skills and making excellent progress alongside their hearing peers. I have to mention in particular Helen, SenCo who has led Ash Houses inclusive approach. Helen and her colleagues have taken an active part in training provided by the Hearing Support Team an Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and in fact at least two members of staff have been freed up to attend, which I do appreciate is in itself a challenge for managers. There is clear evidence that staff have put into practice strategies learnt on these courses. The setting have acted upon the fact that deaf children benefit from environments with reduced reverberation and have reduced reflective surfaces by fitting extended carpet areas. All children have benefited from these improvements. They are able to fit and trouble hearing aids with confidence. Staff contribute with confidence and interest during review meetings with parents and have ensured effective transition. Staff have willingly and enthusiastically attended Sign Language workshops in their own time, after six o'clock. Their sense of humour and interest in the subject has been impressive. It is worth saying that when visiting teams like ours receive this kind of welcome and positive response, we know that the children are in the right place! Effective and successful inclusion is about having the right attitude and accepting that there is always more to be learnt and act upon. Ash house is an impressive inclusive Nursery.

  • Ash House have had a number of deaf children over the last few years and they have always been very good at engaging with the particular needs of these children, by regularly attending and supporting the children within their room by participating in regular reviews and taking on board targets let by speech and language and hearing support. They are accommodating when I visit the children by providing a quiet room.

  • My daughter has attended Ash House Nursery for over 3 years and is very happy there. There are so many different activities on each day, she is never bored and likes to try everything. All the staff have been caring and supportive and she loves them, especially Mary, the cook. She always looks forward to her nursery days and talks about what she's done, who she's played with and what she has had to eat for the rest of the evening. She's due to start school in September and I feel confident the skills she's learned at Ash House Nursery will mean shell be ready and willing to take this next step. She'll miss Mary though...
